Busy, Busy, Busy!

Hi everyone, sorry for the late post! I've been absolutely busy, but it's been a good thing. I spent all weekend nannying, and went to two different Pee Wee hockey games. We also had a major event at work yesterday, since last week was our 30th anniversary. I got to hand out cupcakes and chat with all the students who stopped by.

For flying, I've gotten in two flights this week and two last week. During one of my flights, I went to close the door on preflight and my nail broke off. This wouldn't be too big of a deal, but then my finger started gushing blood. I had to hold my hand in my glove until it stopped, and then wash those gloves when I got home. This experience was a good reminder to keep band-aids in my flight bag and to make sure my nail tech is keeping my nails short. I also flew this morning, and it was very cold. With the Piper Archers we fly, the plane tends to heat up very slowly. I was wearing two pairs of pants and still freezing during the taxi and takeoff. I'm finally over my learning plateau, and I was able to complete the lesson I had been stuck on for multiple flights. I only have a couple more lessons until my stage check, so it's time for me to work even harder and devote more of my day to studying. Wish me luck!
