Flight Instructor Oral

Hi everyone! I have been in Texas for about two weeks, and it has been so nice. I've been able to go running outside which is not normally something you can enjoy in North Dakota in December. While I'm off for break, I have two major aviation goals. The first one, I am taking a specially offered class through my school that is three weeks long for winter break. It's about women in aviation history, so I'm super excited to start it. I'm hoping that they will add this as a semester long class into the curriculum. My second goal is to study for my flight instructor oral so I am ready to take it when I get back. I've got all my test prep books and went over what to study with my flight instructor. There are so many available resources that can be used to study so I figured I could list them out!

Youtube Videos: Youtube videos are a great resource to get more in-depth on subjects that may be confusing. One of the things I struggle with is the engine system, since I am not a car person so it's hard to relate it back. There are some great Youtube videos that helps explain systems like the engine. One thing to note with Youtube videos is they may not always be accurate.

Test Prep Books: Test prep books are a great resource used in all subjects, not just aviation! I've used AP test prep books in high school, and these aviation ones are super similar. A lot of students buy them so it's easy to buy them new or second hand from other students.

Flight Instructors: Your flight instructors have gone through this same training, so they are a great resource for study sessions or questions!
