How to make that go/no-go decision

Hi everyone! I woke up at six am this morning just to get weathered again. North Dakota weather is definitely in full force this January. Luckily, there was no classes today so I've been able to have a relaxing day. To continue from last week, one of the most important things to note about the weather is that it is constantly changing. For example, I took off last month in conditions that were suppose to be good until a couple hours later. By the time I preflighted, taxied, and took off, it was snowing before we left the class delta. The Piper Archer should definitely not be flown in a snowstorm, so we had to turn around. Always get an official weather briefing, plus use any other tools you can. Check radars, satellite images, and other weather resources. While no forecast is 100% accurate, a lot of them can be a good indiction of how the weather is gonna be on the day that you're flying. TAFs are a really good way to check the forecast.

Other factor include pilot, passengers, and the plane. Always make sure that your passengers and yourself are feeling up to fly. Of course, make sure that the plane is also ready to fly through preflight. If you're ever on the fence on why a flight should go or not due to safety reasons, it always better to stay safe. Hopefully I'll get some flying in this week that I can share about, weather permitting!
