Hi everyone! Yesterday I passed my FIA written. I spent all weekend studying and it paid off. I got a 95! I also got my last lesson before winter break done today (Tuesday). I was planning on standbying home on Friday, but I had to change that plan today. One of the perks of working as a pilot for the airline is the travel benefits, but they come with a cost. The flight needs to have an open seat or jump seat to be able to get on. It's important to monitor the flight you hope to take in the days leading up and see if it fills up. My flight I listed for on Friday looks okay, but Thursday all the flights are full. If they can't get passengers out of Fargo on Thursday, they are going to stick them on the flight I was hoping to take Friday morning. I've decided to take the first flight out tomorrow, since it is wide open. I am also on my mom's flight attendant passes, which means I can't take jump seat either. Currently I'm listed on a CRJ 200 tomorrow morning flying out of Fargo. This has the capacity for 50 passengers, but about 22 seats are empty. Wish me luck!
While I'm home, I plan on focusing for studying for my 414 oral. This is one of the most common unsatisfactory check rides, so I know I have to study extra hard to get through it. I'm bringing home all of my textbooks and study materials to work on this!
