It has officially become No Fly November in North Dakota. Flights are getting weathered every day, and the temperatures keep getting colder and colder. Sunday was our last good day of weather with a high of 70 degrees, and now we are back to the normal ND temps of 10 degrees. I was able to get in a nice bike ride before the state got covered in snow. I went with some other aviation students, and I'm glad I did. They are renting an aircraft this weekend and invited me to come. Our local FBO has a couple Cessna 172s and we're gonna fly it down to Fargo. Hopefully the weather holds up for it and we are able to go. I'm super excited, since I'm rarely able to fly outside of the training environment. I think this will also be good practice for me as a flight instructor student. I'll be able to answer any questions that my friends have, and practice staying situationally aware while being a passenger. Rarely do I get to be in an aircraft and not be the pilot flying, so it will be fun to let someone else fly. We are also going to land and get Chipotle, since we don't have one in Grand Forks. If the Chipotle CEO is reading this, please open one in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Anyway, I did a briefing and a quick flight this week, but I have the weekend off. Not too much happening for me this week flight training wise, so I'll check in more next week!
