Hey guys, not too much flying done this week! I had one flight, but I was a little rusty from the quarantine. I'm leaving to go home next Friday, so this was my last flight before winter break. This week, I have a long briefing that's going to take two lessons to finish. This will help me prep for my oral and learn what I need to study. Once I get back from break, I'll have about three more flights and then I can go on the stage check list. There are two stage checks for the CFI license at UND, so I will be able to get those done in the spring. These are both done in the Piper Archer!

Tomorrow, I have my FIA (flight instructor airplane) written. The FAA requires a passing grade of 70% or more. One good way to prep for this is by taking practice tests. This exposes you to all the different subjects that could be on the test, and a lot of these questions could be on the real exam as well. With the questions involving math, it's also good to take the practice exam. Once you learn how to solve the problem, you should be able to do that problem no matter what numbers are provided on the actual exam. CFIs are also a great resource to use for writtens, since they can help explain any questions the student is confused on. Make sure to get writtens knocked out of the way before your check ride so you don't have to stress about it!
